VR Training Simulator for Assembly Process
About the Client :
Bajaj Auto Limited is an Indian multinational two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturing company based in Pune, Maharashtra. It is the world’s most valuable two wheeler firm, operating in 75+ Countries. Bajaj Auto is also a shareholder of the Swedish based Two wheeler giant – KTM.
Project Requirements :
With growing market share, model variants, and the entry into EV, the HR department faced a challenge in rapidly skilling the required assembly workforce without taking away focus from the actual production nor losing sight of the quality standards.
Added to that, with a lot of experienced workers moving out of the system due to retirement also lead to asymmetric challenges in the skill development plans.
XR Labs Solution :
Bajaj Auto contracted XR labs to design, build and deploy India’s largest VR Assembly Simulator project.
XR Labs designed, developed and deployed VR Assembly Simulator for both Learning and Evaluation modes of 40+ Assembly Stations spanning across SoPs.
XR Labs also planned and deployed the solution across 100+ Oculus Quest Headsets and 4 Factories in the State of Maharashtra.
Return on Investment :
Bajaj Auto was able to leverage the RoI across different domains such as
- 30% Time reduction in Onboarding , Training; Certifying the new shop floor recruits remotely on the Auto-assembly Process
- 30% improvement in Information retention and reduction in refresh training.
