About the Customer :
Infiniti is the luxury vehicle division of the Japanese automaker Nissan. Infiniti started selling vehicles in North America in 1989, and expanded to over 50 countries within 20 years. Infiniti now has an established presence across the world, with its main markets in North America, China, and the Middle East.
About the Project:
In 2021, Inifniti was about to launch its new flagship model – QX55 in the Middle East Market with the help of their media partner, OMD. Since the QX55 was a successor to the brand’s iconic FX series, and was category-defining in its design, Infiniti wanted an innovative way to help potential customers visualize the automobile in detail.
XR Labs Solution :
XR Labs determined that Infiniti needed a marketing solution which drove meaningful engagement while also showcasing the design and features of the automobile to buyers. Moreover, this solution would have to be frictionless in order to be accessible to all. And so, we used the 8th Wall platform to build a powerful Web-based Augmented Reality experience (WebAR), which helped potential customers visualize the QX55 and experience all its features through an interactive experience on their very own web browser.
The WebAR experience came with:
- A product and color configurator which allowed users to visualize the automobile in different colors
- An information panel which detailed its Unique Selling Propositions (USPs)
- A Google Analytics integration with the 8th Wall experience to enable Infiniti to analyze the impact of the campaign on their sales funnel
Return on Investment :
After analyzing the results from the WebAR experience, Infiniti saw:
- 40% increase in website visits
- 20% increase in physical showroom footfall
- 45% increase in google searches of the products included in the WebAR experience
